About DiGiT

DiGiT (Jake Munns) is a UK born Electronic music producer, who creates a Drum and Bass crossovers of all genres.

His influences vary from Noisia, spor, Phace and misanthrop, Aphex Twin, kraftwerk, Trentemoller and many more.

As a young child he fell instantly fell in love with the soundscape of electronic music, he was instantly inspired to try and create his own music using synths and other electronic equipment, he started off using his elder brothers Mac experimenting with garageband and FL studio. His early music was very experimental and "glitchy" as his biggest influence on him musically was Aphex Twin.

He later started to listen to Neurofunk and darkstep in his late teens and again was amazed by the soundscape and started experimenting with a hybrid of synthesis and sampling to create the sound he wanted. He also wanted to blend these genres with other types of music such as house and dubstep to create a fresh sound.

He generally tries not to tie himself down to specific genres as it limits your creativity.

DiGiT'S tracks vary from Downtempo ambient all the way to hard Breaks and bass.
